Father’s Day 2018 – Great Gifts for Dadventures

fathers day 2018

If you have a dad, if you know a dad or , if you are a dad, you might want to take a look at some of our great father’s day gift ideas for this coming sunday, June 17th. Sometimes a dad won’t ask for much but if he means the world to you, it might not hurt to spend a little.

We asked our team of staff to come up with some ideas and recommendations.

Straight off the bat, Ryan suggested the Leatherman Wingman Multitool – “It’s a durable utility tool, it’s got 14 tools and its the kind of practical thing my dad would like.”

One of our Pauls dreams of a GoPro Hero6 from his kids, “This is the kind of gift I want from my kids. Being able to control everything by voice or with one button makes it so easy and fun to use. I’d take it everywhere!”

Kyle knows exactly what to get for his dad and he suggests the Helly Hansen Crew Midlayer jacket saying “It’s a really nice looking jacket for a guy like him, and really useful for all kinds of summer weather–cool nights and drizzly days.”

If you’re buying for a new father or a father to young kids, Ian suggests the LittleLife Cross Country S4 Child Carrier because it’s “much cooler than pushing a pram and much easier to take baba off road too!”

John only has good things to say about his dad and at the risk of ruining the surprise, he reckons he’s getting his dad the Meindl Capri Sandal because they’re “Unbelievably comfortable underfoot and surprisingly supportive and who wouldn’t want to give that kind of gift to their dad?”

Eanna’s dad is a little more sporty than some and his dad’s dream gift would be a Garmin Forerunner 235 because his dad “loves cycling and it’s useful for maps, calories, and day-to-day stuff, too.”

Unica Full Face Snorkel Mask,Fathers Day

Senan is a little more political when it comes to thinking about one of the presents he’ll get his dad, “I’d get my dad some wax. I’m sick of taking care of his boots for him!” We’d recommend the Grangers or Meindl products.

The other Paul likes the idea of the Coleman Spruce Falls 4 person tent because “Family camping is great but seperate bedrooms make it even greater. Plus, the blackout rooms also help make sure the kids aren’t awake too early in the day, just what dads need. ”

Meg’s dad has a little more street cred so she’d buy him one of our Columbia Silver Ridge short sleeved shirts saying, “It’s cool, light, and stylish enough for anything.”

Carol also thinks that dads need to look good to and as such, her suggestion is the Craghoppers NosiLife Tipla hooded jacket because “not only will it keep Dad from getting a sunburn, it will keep the bugs away too. Which is good, because nobody wants to see grumpy dads on the hills.”

So hopefully our 10 top father’s day tips can provide some guidance but one little present for the dad who has everything, but probably wouldn’t treat himself is the Unica Full Face Snorkel Mask from Seac Sub, guaranteed to make some interesting beach side #dadventures happen as the dads in your life become their own version of James Bond.
