    "Great for muddy winter runs"

Nowadays there are a huge variety of running shoes - for all types of terrain, for narrow or wide feet, with more or less cushion, with or without support, for men, women, children and even dogs!

Choosing the right running shoes can be very tricky indeed and Great Outdoors in Dublin gave me a great opportunity to test MudClaw 300 Trail Shoes, which was interesting and pleasurable experience.

Before buying any shoes you should always get your feet measured by a qualified store. I highly recommend that for everyone into running it's so important to get running shoes in correct size or you might get
    "Black toe nails"

    MudClaw 300 Trail Shoes:

MudClaw are a low profile, precision fit, lightweight technical shoe constructed for muddy, gorse and open mountain conditions.

Their low profile with less cushion giving your feet a more response feeling to the ground, While their aggressive deep lugs and the Meta-Flex sole is grippy enough to cope with rough terrain even when ascending or descending on muddy paths, ( I'd say there super in the snow ) I run on Wicklow mountains where the ground is naturally soft and mucky and in these conditions I felt very stable as the shoes gripped brilliantly, Running down grassy and muddy hills at speed was a breeze, But when running on the big, Wet rocks or wooden boardwalks due to big compound lugs they felt a bit slippery. But I didn’t fall :-) on the same terrain when the rocks or wooden boardwalk were dry the shoes are not slippery at all and there very comfortable running on fire roads and other less muddy tracks.

I've heard people say the laces open up a lot when running BUT never failed on me… yet ;-)

The upper part of the shoes are flexible with soft mesh, A toe box that offers nice room for your toes to move ( pending on the right size shoes for your feet ) they also have a good toe guard mesh around the upper and side of the shoes protecting your foot on the rough terrain,

The precision fit gave my feet a fairly snuggly feeling, The shoes allows for a range of feet width's and gives support across the whole foot what ever your foot strike maybe ( I'm forefoot ) also good with out wearing socks!.
there also nice for winter trail walks or hikes along with a waterproof sock.

    Lightweight with precision fit.
Sturdy enough to train in and light enough to race.
Roomy toe box with excellent toe guard.
Great for winter muddy trails or hikes with a pair of waterproof socks.
    Nice colour.
    Affordable price.

The mesh in VERY wet conditions doesn't dry as quick as other trail shoes I've tested in the past and feel heavy when wet, They also take a while to dry, But you don't get a slob feeling when running in them!
Slippery on wet rocks or wooden boardwalks.

In my opinion the Invo-8 Mudclaw 300 are great for muddy terrain on your winter runs and offer a lot more than any other winter shoes that I have worn before.
