Stok Kangri,Earth's Edge,Treks in the Himalayas

STOK KANGRI
Earth’s Edge’s Stok Kangri climb is 15 days in total and is suitable for experienced trekkers who have a good level of fitness. Towering at an impressive 6153 metres, Stok Kangri is a serious challenge.
Although it is widely considered to be a trekking peak the summit day involves some scrambling and the use of crampons is sometimes required. It takes a unique and scenic route crossing two large passes to reach base camp. This allows trekkers to see more of Ladakh and increases acclimatisation improving our chances of a successful summit attempt.
The view from the top is one of the best in the Himalaya, offering great views of the Zanskar and Karakoram ranges including K2 (8611m), the second highest peak in the world. This is one of the best trekking peaks in the Indian Himalaya and its proximity to Leh makes it very accessible. Ladakh, often referred to as ‘Little Tibet’, is characterised by Buddhist culture and tradition. Visits to monasteries, palaces, markets and remote villages are all included in this expedition.
As well as enjoying 12 fantastic days in Ladakh you will see Delhi’s best sights and enjoy plenty of retail therapy.

THE HIMALAYAS TREK
Trekking in the Himalayas should be high on everyone’s bucket list! This 12 day expedition includes six days of trekking in the Indian Himalayas in warm weather with amazing scenery. Each day offers a new and exciting route as we pass through some beautiful hamlets, flower-filled pastures, mixed forest, waterfalls and streams.
The highlight of the trek is reaching the Kuari Pass (3,840m) where we will be rewarded by an impressive panoramic view. Your eyes will be drawn to the sweeping arc created by the incredible line-up of giant peaks: Chaukhamba (7,140m), Nilkantha (6,597m), Kamet (7,756m), Gauri Parbat (6,708m), Nanda Devi (7,817m), Bethartoli (6,352m) and Dunagiri (7,066m).
The region is one of the most culturally significant in India. We trek near the source of the Ganges, which is one of the world’s most famous rivers with huge religious and cultural significance in India. You will get the opportunity to meet plenty of friendly locals and learn about Himalayan culture and way of life.
As well as enjoying six fantastic days of trekking in India you will also have the opportunity to go white-water rafting and explore Rishikesh.
