Getting your VAT refund is straightforward. Here's exactly what to do.
Shop & spend a minimum of €75
Spend €75 or more in a single transaction at Great Outdoors or Columbia Store Dublin. Retail prices in Ireland include 23% VAT — so you're already paying it at the till.
Ask for your Planet Tax Free form
At the checkout, let our staff know you'd like a Tax Free form. We'll issue you a Planet Tax Free form and envelope. Fill in your details: name, address, passport number, travel dates, email, and your non-EU credit card or Alipay number.
Get your form processed at the airport
Visit the Planet Tax Free desk at Dublin Airport (Terminal 1 or Terminal 2) or Shannon Airport before you depart. Average wait time is just 1 minute. Customs stamping is only required for single items over €2,000. Keep purchases in your hand luggage when departing.
Receive your refund
Submit your completed form at the Planet airport desk. Choose your refund method: credit/debit card, cash, or Alipay. Cash refunds must be claimed within 21 days. Goods must be exported within 3 months of purchase.

Export deadline
Purchased goods must be physically exported from the EU within 3 months of purchase.
Hand luggage rule
Keep your Tax Free purchases in your hand luggage when departing so Customs can inspect if needed.
Refund options
Receive your refund by credit/debit card, cash, or Alipay. Cash refunds must be claimed within 21 days.
Customs stamp
A Customs stamp is only required for single items over €2,000. For smaller purchases, no stamp needed.
UK residents
GB visitors (excl. Northern Ireland) can shop Tax Free within their Import Duty Allowance of £390 or Euro equivalent.
