The Elixir 2 is a freestanding tent, meaning it can be set up in a number of ways. Alternating the use of the footprint, inner tent, and flysheet means you can set up for a night sheltered from the wind and rain, or have a lighter set-up in warmer weather, allowing you to look out at the stars.
