The What, Why and More of Open Water Swimming in Ireland
Dublin Swimming Club in conjunction with ourselves are running a presentation on the mysteries and delights of open water swimming in Ireland.
The talk is FREE and speakers on the night include,
Charles Harper, Liffey Swim winner and Channel swimmer will talk about his swimming experiences with a particular focus on his successful Channel Swim
Niall O’Sullivan, President, Dublin Swimming Club – The what, whys and how’s of open water swimming in Ireland
Una Ryan, Club Captain, Dublin Swimming Club – Perspective of someone new to the sport since 2012. Open water Swimming Tips
Who Should Attend: If you swam competitively in years past, do triathlons or have an ambition to do the Liffey, this event is for you!
About Dublin Swimming Club
“Founded in 1881, Dublin Swimming Club is Dublin’s and Ireland’s oldest swimming club. We have produced Olympic and national champions and been to the fore in developing the sport of swimming in Ireland. The club has a family feel with a men’s and women’s masters team as well as a juniors section. Members range in age from four to folks in their 70’s. The club competes in pool galas as well as open water (sea, river, lake) races.”
