Garmin fēnix 9
The Garmin fēnix 9 range brings a faster, brighter, more connected generation of Garmin's flagship outdoor GPS smartwatch. Every model keeps the multisport DNA that's made fēnix the choice for serious athletes and adventurers, from 100+ activity profiles to advanced training and recovery insight, while adding real upgrades over the fēnix 8.
- Smoother, Faster Maps - a new map engine renders panning 30% faster than fēnix 8, and round-trip routing up to 40% faster than fēnix 8 Pro, backed by double the RAM.
- Brighter Displays - AMOLED models reach up to 3,000 nits, noticeably brighter than fēnix 8's AMOLED screens.
- More Storage - 64GB of memory, double the previous generation, for more offline maps and up to 7,000 downloaded songs.
- Garmin Epic - a new way to record, relive, and share multiple days of activity as one connected story, not on the fēnix 8.
- Slimmer on the Wrist - the fēnix 9 Pro 47mm is up to 16% slimmer than the equivalent fēnix 8 Pro.
The fēnix 9 is the AMOLED base model, with the same titanium-backed durability as before but no satellite connectivity. Step up to the fēnix 9 Pro AMOLED inReach for a full titanium case and bezel, an integrated LED flashlight, and inReach LTE and satellite messaging for staying in touch off-grid (inReach subscription required).
Worth knowing before you choose: the heart rate sensor is unchanged from fēnix 8 Pro (Elevate Gen 5), and base-tier battery life on the 43mm and 47mm is close to fēnix 8's figures - the biggest battery gains in this generation are on the Solar Pro models, not the standard or Pro AMOLED tiers.
