DynaLock Explore Poles

The MSR DynaLock Explore poles are tough three-section aluminium poles built for snowshoeing, mountaineering and rough mountain ground. The lower sections are 7075 aluminium, which takes knocks from rock and ice better than lighter carbon poles. One pair adjusts from 100cm to 140cm, so you can shorten them for steep climbs and lengthen them for descents.

Two DynaLock lever locks hold the length securely. If they ever start to slip, turn the dial on the lever by hand to tighten them, even with gloves on. A long foam grip lets you hold the pole lower on traverses and steep ground without stopping to adjust, and both snow and trail baskets are included for use all year round.

• 7075 aluminium lower sections - strong and durable, built to bend rather than snap under a hard knock.
• Dual DynaLock locks - adjust across the full 100-140cm range quickly and securely.
• Tool-free tensioning - retighten the locks by hand on the hill, no screwdriver needed.
• Anodised aluminium levers - metal levers rather than plastic, for long-term durability.
• Extended EVA foam grip - hold the pole lower on traverses and steep ground without changing its length.
• Winter and summer baskets - powder baskets for snow and trekking baskets for the trail, both included.
• Three-section design - collapses to 62.2cm to strap to a daypack or rucksack.
