Thermal Core insulation uses a single or multiple layers of TRM material to reflect warmth back to the sleeper. The TRM layers reduce internal air movement, and the smaller die cuts, compared to prior models, reduce this further still. The result is a significant increase in both R-Value and in real-world insulation performance, while reducing weight and packed volume. In short - increased heat while reducing both size and weight.

Sea to Summit designed the XPRESS Valve to make blowing up, letting down, and adjusting your mat quick and easy. One small valve does it all: a one-way port for filling the mat, a fast-release port for emptying it, and a button for fine-tuning firmness. It also connects straight onto the Airstream pump built into your mat's stuff sack, so there's no fiddly separate pump to carry.

The Airstream Pumpsack is Sea to Summit's clever solution for blowing up your mat without huffing and puffing. It's built into the stuff sack that comes with every Air Sprung Cell mat: one end packs your mat away as normal, the other end unfolds into a pump.

Just one breath inflates the pumpsack itself, and two or three squeezes are enough to fill your mat completely. It's faster than blowing the mat up by mouth, keeps damp breath out of the mat (which helps stop mould and ice building up inside), and means no more getting light-headed from inflating it yourself.

PillowLock is a simple pair of sticky hook-and-loop patches that stop your pillow sliding around at night. Every Sea to Summit Aeros Pillow made from Spring 2026 onwards comes with them included, you just stick them to your sleeping mat and your pillow clips in place. Handy to know: this system works with any Sea to Summit pillow made since Spring 2019, not just the newest ones.
