I've owned my Vango Beta 550XL tent for about 6 years now and it was a great investment. I've used it on small family car camping trips and also, on some scout summer camps when I'm looking for a room with peace and privacy. It is solid in all conditions and it's not sprung any leaks as yet. The tension band system really helps to keep the fly taut and the rain off. The height is great and I can easily get changed in and out of wetsuits and the like in privacy. With the large porch and separate sleeping area, you can really manage the temperature inside in all types of weather. The only downside is that, with it being so big, it's tricky to pitch on your own.
