Osprey

Expert packs, built to last a lifetime.

Osprey has been designing performance backpacks since 1974, and every pack in the range reflects that depth of experience. Built around anatomical fit, durable materials, and thoughtful organisation, Osprey backpacks are trusted by hikers, trekkers, travellers, and climbers worldwide. Our selection covers hiking day packs, multi-day trekking packs, ultralight backpacking bags, travel packs, carry-on luggage, and everyday bags — with options from 18 to 100 litres.

  • Hiking packs — the Talon, Tempest, Stratos, Sirrus, and Hikelite series deliver ventilated carrying comfort for day hikes and long routes, with volumes from 18L to 44L.
  • Trekking and expedition packs — the Atmos AG, Aura AG, Aether Plus, Ariel Plus, Exos, Eja, Rook, and Renn provide load-carrying suspension systems for multi-day trips and extended expeditions, from 48L to 100L.
  • Travel packs and luggage — the Farpoint, Fairview, and Daylite travel ranges offer suitcase-style opening, carry-on sizing, wheeled options, and zip-off daypacks for organised travel.
  • Day packs and everyday bags — the Daylite, Quasar, Axis, and Astronova packs cover commuting, city use, and light outdoor days.
  • Accessories — rain covers, hydration reservoirs, packing cubes, and pack covers keep your gear protected and organised.

Why We Love Osprey

We have been selling Osprey for years and we still get excited when a new range comes in.The quality is there from the moment you pick one up — the zips, the stitching, even the fabrics feel well-suited to the bag. What really sets Osprey apart for us is the fit. Get a properly fitted Osprey on your back and the difference is immediate.

And if anything ever goes wrong? Osprey fix it or replace it. No quibble, no small print. That kind of guarantee says everything about how they feel about what they make — and it's a big part of why we're proud to stock them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Osprey back every pack they make with a lifetime guarantee. If your pack develops a fault or defect for any reason — including normal wear — Osprey will repair it free of charge. If a functional repair isn't possible, they'll replace it. The guarantee covers manufacturing defects and material failures under normal use conditions. Accidental damage such as cuts, burns, or animal damage falls outside the core terms, though Osprey will always try to assist.

It depends on the model. Many of Osprey's hiking and trekking packs include an integrated rain cover stored in a zip pocket at the base of the pack — the Aether, Atmos, Stratos, and Hikelite series are examples. Other models, including the Talon, Tempest, and most travel packs, don't include one as standard. Osprey sell compatible rain covers separately in a range of sizes if your pack doesn't come with one. Check the individual product listing or ask our team if you're unsure about a specific model.

Most Osprey hiking, trail running, and cycling packs include a hydration sleeve and a hose port, and are compatible with Osprey's own Hydraulics and Hydraform reservoirs as well as many third-party bladders. The sleeve typically accommodates 2 or 3-litre reservoirs depending on the pack, you can filter our Osprey bags to see only hydration-compatible listings if that helps. Osprey's Hydraulics reservoirs feature a magnetic bite valve and wide-opening fill port that make them particularly easy to use in the field. Travel, commuter, and urban packs generally don't include a hydration sleeve.

Osprey design separate men's and women's versions of most of their hiking and trekking packs. Women's packs (generally branded with names ending in 'a' — Tempest, Aura, Eja, Sirrus) feature a shorter torso range, a narrower shoulder width, S-curved shoulder straps shaped for a narrower torso and fuller chest, and a hipbelt designed for wider hips. The carry systems are built for different anatomical proportions, not just resized. Osprey also offer some unisex packs across their travel and lifestyle ranges.

Several Osprey travel packs are designed to meet standard carry-on dimensions. The Farpoint 40, Fairview 40, Daylite Carry-on & Daylite Expandable are among those built to fit within typical airline overhead locker limits — though airline allowances vary, so always check with your specific carrier before travelling. Hiking packs are generally too large for cabin use and would need to be checked in as hold luggage. Osprey recommend using an Airporter bag cover to protect straps and buckles during baggage handling.

For routine cleaning, hand wash with a soft brush, mild soap, and lukewarm water. We cover this in more detail in our guide to cleaning your backpack. Rinse thoroughly and air dry away from direct heat or sunlight — never machine wash or tumble dry, as this can damage the foam, frame, and fabric coatings. For packs with a DWR (durable water-repellent) finish, the coating will naturally reduce over time with use and washing. You can restore it with a technical fabric reproofer spray, applied to a clean, damp pack and activated with gentle heat from a hairdryer. Store your pack loosely stuffed in a cool, dry place out of prolonged UV exposure.
