Nearly great!!

I bought these as a light pair for easy trail/hill walks, walking the dog and generally social hikes and walks.
This is my 3rd pair of Salamons as I have found their fit best for my foot- normally great support and secure fastenings. Didn’t get the same “foot hugging” feeling from these. That may be because they are a Mid boot rather than full!
That said I have worn them on every walk over the last 3 weeks and can’t fault their fit and comfort and stable contact with the ground. These walks have coincided with snow and ice and quite slippery terrain and the boots have gripped very well, my foot was well insulated and dry.
So they are definitely fit for purpose as a short distance walk/hike on most terrains.
Visually, the plain black not the most attractive for a woman, they don’t look great with a tight trouser leg!!!! But grand with a wider leg - but that’s all down to personal taste!!!!!
